Inform Your Doctor Please inform your doctor of any changes in your health or medical condition or if you are taking any new medications. Also, inform your doctor if you have a change in symptoms or new symptoms.
Attire Please wear short sleeves or loose clothing for your comfort during the procedure and to allow us to administer your IV properly.
Comfort and Amenities Your IV will take place in a comfortable chair/bed in a quiet room. You might want to bring a book, an iPod or a laptop. We suggest you bring some light snacks since IVs can last several hours.
Food and Water Before your IV you must hydrate and have eaten. We recommend that you drink 8-10 glasses of water the day before your IV and another 8-10 glasses of water the day of your IV. Being hydrated is absolutely necessary for a successful IV. If you are not properly hydrated, insertion of your IV may be difficult or unsuccessful.
Failed IV Attempts We are generally successful with our IVs. If we are unable to administer the IV after several attempts because of under-hydration or other reasons, you will be charged for 50% of your visit fee to cover lost supplies and doctor time.
Length of Appointment IV drips generally take an hour and a half but can be as long as three hours. Please allow adequate time in your schedule.
Cancellation Fee IV appointments involve scheduled time with our doctors and staff. If you need to cancel your appointment, do so before 24 hours of your appointment, or you will be responsible for the full price of your visit.
